Since academic achievement is directly related to class attendance, students are expected to

• comply with Waterbury School System attendance policies during the school year.
• attend all classes during the ConnCAP Summer Program and be on time.
• maintain a minimum attendance rate of 85% during the Summer Program in order to attend field trips.
• attend a minimum of one ConnCAP weekly study session (two hours per week) during the school year.
• participate in ConnCAP Program activities.

Attendance during the ConnCAP Summer Program is taken every morning and at the start of every class. All absences are reported to the Program Assistant Director who then calls the students' homes to verify each absence with the student's parent or guardian. Absences are also reported to the WorkForce Work Learning Supervisor, and the Crew Supervisors.
